How Hoyt Richards, the world’s best-paid male supermodel, was abducted by a brain-washing cult

12 June 2026 at 19:16

Glamorama, the fourth novel by Bret Easton Ellis, arrived to U.S. bookstores just in time for Christmas 1998. The book tells the story of Victor Ward, a young, attractive model who becomes involved in an international terrorist group. To critics, Glamorama seemed delirious. To Ellis, it was a satire of ‘90s society, obsessed with consumerism, brands and success. During the same era, Hoyt Richards, who is considered the first male supermodel, was immersed in his own thriller rife with conspiracy and paranoia. At 36 years of age, he was a fashion legend. He had worked for the best designers, walked runways around the world, and earned millions. What no one knew is that he was also trying to escape from an exclusive sect for the hot and rich.

David Hockney, the iconic British painter who cast a revolutionary gaze across 20th-century art, has died aged 88.

He made his name as a pop artist during the swinging 60s and was perhaps best known for his paintings of swimming pools that helped define the Los Angeles aesthetic. Works such as A Bigger Splash and Portrait of an Artist (Pool With Two Figures) depicted hedonistic scenes of love, lust and loss taking place below the city’s sun-soaked skies.

Hoyt Richards, cómo el supermodelo mejor pagado del mundo fue abducido por una secta que lavaba el cerebro a los guapos

12 June 2026 at 04:30

The Vasts of Ignorance

The pro-trans activists who gate-crashed an Oxford lecturer this week were only the latest to broadcast their ignorance. But is it any surprise when they're the product of a British education, says Guy de la Bédoyère.

Calls to review ‘unduly lenient’ sentence for rapist in Andrew Malkinson miscarriage of justice

Paul Quinn will serve at least 14 years for the 2003 rape in Salford and could spend less time in prison than Malkinson

The government’s most senior law officer has been asked to review the “unduly lenient” prison sentence handed to a rapist who evaded police for nearly two decades in one of Britain’s biggest miscarriages of justice.

19 May 2026 at 12:44

“The rise of AI is the next industrial revolution,” Gloria Caulfield, a real estate executive, told recent graduates of arts, humanities, and communication at the University of Central Florida. The response? A chorus of boos. Caulfield turned to the organizers: “What happened?” she asked. She looked back at the young people in the audience: “Ok, I’ve struck a chord, may I finish?” And she continued: “Only a few years ago, AI wasn’t a factor in our lives,” she added. And then they applauded, and Caulfield smiled with relief. The video of her bewilderment went viral.
