BT claimed to be the first UK company to join Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, a move it said strengthens cybersecurity for its networks and enables better protection against the latest AI threats for customers.

The operator made the announcement at the UK Government’s AI Adoption Summit at London Tech Week, with the country committing to accelerate AI usage across the economy.

BT stated its membership to Project Glasswing will give it access to Anthropic’s frontier AI model Claude Mythos Preview, strengthening protection against cybersecurity threats for its network and customers.

Anthropic announced last week it had expanded access to Mythos to 150 new companies across 15 countries, after initially restricting it to a group of private technology players.

BT explained Project Glasswing brings together “critical infrastructure providers” to secure data and systems, allowing organisations to use Anthropic’s safe AI systems to identify vulnerabilities and help to fix them before criminals can take advantage.

In a speech during the summit, BT CEO Allison Kirkby outlined the critical role of connectivity in ensuring the UK can seize the growth potential of AI, emphasising the operator’s commitment to working with the government to support “sovereign British AI capability so that the UK can be an AI maker and not just a taker”.

In line with its participation in Project Glasswing, BT said it prevents more than 4 million cyberattacks across its network every day.

CEO of BT Business Jon James added AI is changing cybersecurity fast and “businesses need trusted partners who can help them stay one step ahead”.

A year after government pledge to regulate sector, ECB criticises ‘lack of visible progress’ and ‘no clear plan’

The UK government has been accused of dragging its feet over plans for the mandatory regulation of bailiffs amid concerns about harmful practices in an industry that collects more than £1bn a year from indebted Britons.

A year on from an announcement by the Ministry of Justice that it would legislate to make independent regulation of bailiffs mandatory, the body that now oversees the industry, the Enforcement Conduct Board (ECB), criticised the lack of “visible progress”.

A 30ª Parada do Orgulho LGBT+ transformou a Avenida Paulista em um corredor de diversidade, cidadania e representatividade. Imagens registradas por drone no domingo (07/06) revelaram a dimensão do evento, que reuniu milhares de pessoas ao longo da principal via da capital paulista e consolidou mais uma edição histórica da mobilização.

Os registros feitos do alto destacaram um extenso mar de pessoas distribuído pela Avenida Paulista e por vias adjacentes. As imagens evidenciaram a força da manifestação e dimensionaram o alcance de um dos maiores eventos de diversidade do mundo.

Milhares de participantes acompanharam os trios elétricos, apresentações artísticas e manifestações culturais que integraram a programação. Bandeiras coloridas, fantasias e cartazes ocuparam o cenário e reforçaram a atmosfera de celebração e defesa de direitos.

A edição comemorativa de 30 anos adotou o tema “A rua convoca, a urna confirma”, com destaque para a importância da mobilização social e da participação política na construção da igualdade, da inclusão e da cidadania.

Lideranças políticas, ativistas, artistas e representantes de movimentos sociais participaram da Parada, que reafirmou seu papel como um dos principais eventos de visibilidade da população LGBTQIA+ no Brasil e no mundo. As imagens aéreas registraram a dimensão da mobilização e a permanência de uma manifestação que segue capaz de reunir multidões três décadas após sua criação.
