Iran’s new, more militaristic leaders have already survived the worst that America and Israel can deliver, and seem readier to take risks.

The U.S. and Iran both say they are inching closer to a deal to end the war that started nearly four months ago. But as with previous announcements, there are few details on the timing and execution of any agreement. White House correspondent Liz Landers reports.

Eyre was part of the Obama administration's negotiating team for the Iran nuclear deal and is now at the Middle East Institute. Maleki was born and raised in Iran and is now at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies.
