Чемпион UFC в лёгком весе Илия Топурия заявил, что первым сможет нокаутировать Джастина Гейджи уже в первом раунде предстоящего боя. Об этом он сообщил на пресс-конференции перед турниром UFC White House — Freedom 250.

По словам Топурии, до него этого не удавалось сделать ни одному бойцу, в том числе экс-чемпиону Максу Холлоуэю. «Ещё никто не вырубал Гейджи в первом раунде? Этого не сделал даже Макс Холлоуэй? Что ж, я буду первым», — подчеркнул он.

Илия Топурия, 29-летний испано-грузинский боец, остаётся непобеждённым в профессиональных боях. Он начал карьеру в MMA в апреле 2015 года, а с октября 2020 выступает в UFC. Его рекорд насчитывает 17 побед, из которых только две прошли по решению судей.

Его соперник, 37-летний американец Джастин Гейджи, имеет за плечами 27 побед и 5 поражений на профессиональном уровне. Из них 21 бойец выиграл досрочно. Гейджи выступает в MMA с 2011 года.
