The World Cup circus begins and David Beckham will unveil his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this Friday. It is the entertainment industry’s nod to the World Cup, and almost the only one. On the Oscar boulevard, among parties and hustlers imitating Michael Jackson, you have to look hard to find references to the big soccer event, even though 20 miles away the United States opens its campaign against Paraguay on Friday afternoon.

Empieza el circo mundialista y David Beckham descubrirá este viernes su estrella en el Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood. Es el guiño del imperio del entretenimiento a la Copa del Mundo, y casi el único. En el bulevar de los Oscar, entre saraos y buscavidas que imitan a Michael Jackson, hay que rastrear mucho para encontrar referencias a la gran cita del fútbol, pese a que a 20 kilómetros de allí Estados Unidos arranca su concurso contra Paraguay (madrugada del viernes al sábado, 3.00; DAZN).
