Worried mother reportedly thwarted alleged terrorist attack at White House UFC event

Tycen Proper’s mother could not take it any longer. On the night of Wednesday, June 7, the woman, who lives in Danville, Ohio, picked up the phone and called Knox County police to report that her son was planning something. The 19-year-old had spent several weeks buying numerous guns and ammunition. He spent long periods locked in his room and online. She was worried and alarmed by the content of some conversations she had seen in her son’s online communications, with messages about plans and attacks.

La madre de Tycen Proper no pudo aguantar más. El pasado miércoles 7 de junio por la noche, la mujer residente en Danville (Ohio) decidió coger el teléfono y llamar a la policía del condado de Knox para informar de que su hijo planeaba algo. El joven, de 19 años, llevaba varias semanas comprando numerosas armas y munición. Pasaba mucho tiempo encerrado en su habitación y conectado a las redes sociales. Estaba preocupada y alarmada por el contenido de algunas conversaciones sueltas que pudo ver de las comunicaciones online de su hijo, con mensajes sobre planes y ataques.

Congressman Jamie Raskin alleges FBI director authorized substantial recurring payments to agents in his inner circle

FBI director Kash Patel has been accused of directing more than $1m in taxpayer-funded bonus payments to a small circle of loyalist agents as part of a “personal slush fund” that may have violated federal law.

Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the ranking member of the House of Representatives judiciary committee, alleged Patel had authorized substantial recurring payments to agents in his inner circle and security detail.

5 arrested over plot to attack White House UFC event, DOJ says

The Justice Department says it arrested five people who were planning to attack this weekend's UFC event at the White House. According to an arrest document, one of the individuals is a 19-year-old from Ohio who said he had been planning the attack with a group of extremists with ultra-religious and anti-government views. Ali Rogin reports.
