US judge blocks Trump restrictions on legal immigration

District Judge John McConnell, on Friday, said the restrictions on asylum, work permit, green card and citizen applications from nationals of 39 African, Asian, Latin American and Middle Eastern countries were unlawful, and 'threw the lives of countless immigrants living in the United States into indeterminate legal limbo.'

German serial killer found guilty of murder of French schoolboy

Martin Ney was given another life sentence for the murder and kidnapping of Jonathan Coulom, who disappeared at a school holiday camp in western France. Ney, who wore masks and balaclavas during his attacks, had already been jailed for life in Germany in 2012 after he confessed to killing three boys between 1992 and 2001.
