La obesidad es una de las enfermedades más estigmatizadas y peor comprendidas. El estudio sobre obesidad en personas adultas señala que un 55,8% de la población mayor de 18 años residente en España en 2020 presenta exceso de peso, un porcentaje que se sitúa en un 18,7% referido a la obesidad, y en un 37,1% al sobrepeso. Aun así, el debate público sigue anclado en una idea simplista: que todo depende de la fuerza de voluntad.

Breakthrough treatment enabled Archie Goodburn, 24, to keep competing but he says one new drug in 20 years is not enough

Archie Goodburn, a 24-year-old champion swimmer who has a rare, inoperable form of brain cancer, is calling for the government to do more to help people with the condition.

For the first time in more than 25 years, the FDA has approved a new active ingredient for over-the-counter sunscreens. It clears the way for manufacturers to begin using bemotrizinol, or BEMT, an ingredient that's been used in Europe and Asia since the 1990s.
