Legislators passed a law two years ago barring the use of the QR code printed on ballots that the state relies on to tally votes beyond July 1 of this year, but no replacement method was ever implemented.
Mr. Trump backed Mr. Collins over Derek Dooley, a former football coach supported by Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican whose relationship with the president is strained.
